Bob-and-Pam-a-rama!!!!!?

The weekend of August 1st was ggggrrrrrrreat for me. It is the first time since Jackson was born that we have had my entire family together! Julie and crew came from Miami for a summer trip to Grandma and Grandpa's. Much to our delight, she and Abe were planning a trip to Natural Bridge and asked if any of the rest of us wanted to join them. Of course none of us could resist and it turned out to be a really fun weekend! We hiked up to natural bridge a couple of times, went swimming a couple of times, enjoyed a most excellent cookout w/ smores, and had a blast watching all the cousins play with each other. Jackson's biggest contribution was probably letting Brandon steal his binki while he was sleeping. It was fun for me though to watch my nieces and nephews enjoy talking, tickling and smiling at Jackson. It really was a treat.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was when we were all lined up on the staires in front of the cabins, for a family pic, we broke out in song singing happy birthday to mom since we hadn't had a chance to celebrate it on July 20. She was standing in front of us trying to get us all lined up for the perfect photo. As we sang her to tears swelled in her eyes and it was obvious how much she loved seeing her whole family there together. It was a great memory.

Now that there are 20 members of our family there is talk of this being our first family reunion. My dad's side of the family does a reunion every 2 years called the BylundFest. Suggestions for our family reunion are Bob and Pam-a-rama, BylundPalooza BylundExtravaganza... We'll see what sticks I guess...

Angela and Lindsay took the lift on the second hike. They got to the top of the 65 ft bridge first and waved us up the last stretch--We were a little nervous w/ Ang pregnant that they would come toppling over the edge!

Month 3

Jackson is approaching his 4 month mark, and I haven't written down any of his "mile markers" for month 3. He has certainly come to life for us this month as he responds so well to our voices and faces. He loves to play with his hands and fingers and never gets tired of putting them in his mouth. He is learning about toys and can reach for them, hold them and stuff them in his mouth:). He is starting to giggle, and there is nothing better in the world to us right now than that noise!
He still adores being on his back and having someone talk with him and hold a toy up for him to swat and play with. He is holding his head up really well, but still doesn't have the balance to sit up. He hates tummy time, and hasn't quite found much interest in rolling over, although if we put him on his side with a toy he will sit there on his side and play for a while. He can support his weight on his legs and is starting to enjoy that aspect of life. He still puts himself to sleep when he gets tired but is definitely not sleeping through the night yet:) I guess he saving that for month four.

July Whirlwind!

Holy Smokes! July is already over and we were hardly in our own house for a full week of it! It has been crazy, but a super fun month for the Reynolds! I am thrilled with all the friends and family we were able to see and visit! It was definitely a trip we'll remember!
We left July 10th and flew to Utah to meet up with some old friends and be reminded of our good times spent in Provo. An interesting moment for Adam and I was when were driving on the I-15 through American Fork towards Provo and we looked up over the mountains and both had rush of nostalgia and felt like we were home--the humorous part of that being we have always confident that we would never return to Utah to live. Never say never. We got to spend the first couple of days w/ Josh and Jenna--Adam's brother and sister-in-law who just got married a couple of months ago. While we were there we also got to go to an "Academy Arms" reunion and see Adam's old bishop and some good friends. It was an enjoyable time and it was fun to show off Jackson to college buds. We were able to house hop at friends houses for the next few days and enjoyed reminiscing and laughing each night.
We headed up to Swan Valley for a family reunion on the 16th to spend a couple of days. It was Adam's first experience with the BylundFest. A good time was had, although I don't think he got the full effect since only about 45 of the 122 members of the fam were in attendance. However, it was so fun for me to see aunts and uncles and cousins that I haven't seen in 6 years or so. We loved rafting on the snake river, but wished Jackson would have been old enough to go with us.
Our next stop on the 18th was Midway to a friends cabin. We had such a fun time playing ping-pong, playing tennis, and hanging out in the pool. It felt like a real vacation being with friends and being in a "cabansion" (a mansion that people refer to as a cabin). We returned to Provo for a couple of days and saw some more friends--Life doesn't get much better!
We flew to California on the 21st for Julie and David's wedding. It was great to be apart of their sealing and nice to be in California again. We finished off our visit by seeing Mark Abbott and Dave Keithly! What a treat!:)
We arrived back in Lexington at 5am on the 25, and Adam's mom and sister Lindsay came on the 26th---thus the delayed post:)

Jackson loved playing with Aunt Jenna and Uncle Josh! He gave them great smiles and a few giggles.

Adam and I have a special place in our hearts for Bishop Robertson because of the wonderful counsel he gave us while we were engaged just before we were married. Thanks Bishop!

We spent one night w/ the Benson's who used live in Morehead when I was growing up! Last year we would babysit for them every once in a while!:) Such a fun fam!

Steve and Christina Bond--WE LOVE YOU!!! We couldn't get enough of them--we got to spend 2 Saturday nights w/ them and enjoyed every second! We miss our lost parties and our late night drop-ins!

After a night w/ Grandpa Lee, we were also able to spend a night in Brigham w/ Grandma and Grandpa Reynolds. I loved that Jackson got to meet 3 sets of his Great Grandparents. He is anxious to meet his G.Grandma and Grandpa Little in Nauvoo.

Rob and Kristy--Before we got married Kristy was my roommate and Rob was Adam's roommate:)!! We had a blast!!! We are so excited for their baby in January!

This is a picture of Adam and I celebrating our 2 year anniversary--romantic I know:) We were in California and could only be gone for a couple of hours since Jackson always needs some of his mama's milk. CONGRATS JULE AND DAVID!!! Julie and David were sealed for time and all eternity at the San Diego Temple on July 23rd! We were so grateful we were able to be there on their special day! They looked so happy and so in love!
