Month 5

What a fun age! Jackson has been such a joy the past month! Here
are some of the highlights I want to remember.

* He has definitely figured out when it is time for him to nurse and he gets so excited! Today I put my hooter hider on and he recognized it as soon as he saw me wearing it and started kicking his legs.
* His favorite stories are 5 Little Ducklings and 5 Cheeky
Monkeys.
* He still loves pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo.
* Ge gets sad when he can't reach his dropped toy and when we leave the room
* With only a couple of exceptions he only does poopy diapers in his exersacuer
* He loves sleeping with Tigger
* He can roll over but only because he gets so mad at being on his tummy and throws himself over onto his back and then stops
* He likes to be thrown into the air, be tickled, and play a little
rougher than before.
*He grabs at everything on the table at dinner time, and loves the keyboard when I'm at the computer.
* He likes to see me 2 or 3 times during the night--along with a snack:)
* I went 4 1/2 hours without him (longest since he was born) when I went to do church service, he stayed with Adam and didn't even notice I was gone.
* Likes to sleep on his side
* He started eating vegetables and is totally neutral to peas, carrots, green beans, and sweet potatoes.

Lucky Aunt

I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with all of my siblings. I love them all so much, I had no idea as a kid though how much I would love their kids as well. I feel pretty lucky that I've been able to be an aunt for so long before I became a mother because it was easy for me to have the time to develop a great relationship with my nieces and nephews.
Mom popped up to Lexington today to help Erin with the kiddos because she is feeling pretty sick. She called Angela and I and we all went to an open gym. The kids loved it and it was fun for me to watch because I didn't have to worry about one of my kids getting hurt since Jackson's mobility is very limited:) Thanks for a fun afternoon at the gym and lunch and McDonald's Grandma!

Maren totally loved jumping into the pit, Joshua enjoyed showing off his mad gymnastic skills and little Christopher thought climbing around in the pit was too much work so he walked around with me and Grandma. Lindsay was a daredevil and the first to go on the slide into the pit, and Brittany liked the trampoline and playing in the pit.

Special Treat!

Last week Adam and I were spoiled to get to have Uncle Josh come for a visit AND see our great friends from Provo, the Legg's! Josh is currently interviewing for medical school and had an interview last Monday at Ohio State (and stayed with Legg's). So we got to pick him up Monday evening in Columbus and had a great dinner with the Legg's. It was so fun for Adam and I to visit with them and see how grown up their 3 boys are! It was wonderful to see them and glad we finally made it up there since we have been wanting to over the past year.
We brought Josh back to Lexington Monday for his interview at UK on Tuesday. Sadly, he had to fly out on Wednesday so it was a quick trip, but Jackson always loves playing with his Uncle Josh! We are all crossing our fingers that we get to have Josh and Jenna over weekly for dinner next year!!
