Drew 7 months and more

Gotta love the Reynolds boys!



At 7 months "little" Drew is still fighting not one but two gunkey eyes. His poor little eye ducts just don't seem to be opening on their own, which means at 1 year we will probably have to put him under anesthesia and open them surgically. The good news is that it bugs me more than him. He rubs his eyes ever now and then but for the most part it doesn't seem to get in his way. He loves loves loves bath time! We have stopped putting him in the infant tub and just let him lay flat in shallow water and he kicks and splashes and slides up and down the tub. He and Jackson have swell time getting in together. He is getting used to water in his eyes and get getting bumped and squished by Jackson. He is such a good sports and never vocalizes any kind of complaints. He just always seems to be happy to be along for the ride.


He almost always ends up on his belly during the night. He starts out on his side, but eventually flips over. We did "sleep training" when we got home vacation. It consisted of turning off the monitor, closing his door, and my bedroom door. It turned out that I was tired of enough to sleep through most every time he woke up. And if I did wake I up, I figured he must have been screaming loud enough and hard enough to wake me up it was worth going to get him. I got about 3 decent nights sleep. It was a beautiful thing! Then we moved him into Jackson's room for a few nights since Papa and Grandy came to stay and he went back to waking up once or twice a night. So this week we will start over. Sorry Drew! I know you have enough calories in those healthy legs to get you through the night without starving. Such a happy kid!
He got to eat wheels for the first time. He was a fan. And I remembered how sticky and gooey they can be. But it keeps him entertained for several minutes and gives him a snack at the same time.


We went blackberry picking for the first time this year with playgroup. They were thornless bushes which made it easy and fun. Jackson liked trying to throw them up in the air and catch them--just like his Dad. He ate a few but didn't love them. I thought he would think it was so fun and I would have time to pick a gallon's worth. Turns out he was bored after 10 minutes. I left with a quart and went home and bought some half and half and had a nice snack!

Good Times!

6 Month Drew!

Drew had his first half birthday while we were in California. We didn't do anything to celebrate, but he sure is coming alive and continues to be a sweet little boy. I still haven't ventured to give him any baby food beyond rice cereal. He weighs 16 lbs. 15 oz. He giggles and likes to play a bit rough. He has quick hands that reach for everything and enjoys being held. He likes to wake up at midnight, 3am, and 6am for feedings. He gets angry at night when he rolls onto his belly and can't get from belly to back--only back to belly. He does great with tummy time and loves to sleep on his side. He has finally gotten better at sucking his binki and sleeps with his monkey at night. He watches Jackson every second he is able and follows me in and out of the room. He can fall asleep on his own but enjoys nursing and swinging to sleep in a swing. He is mellow, patient, and happy. LOVE YOU DREWY!

Jacob's Blessing

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Julie took some DARLING pics of the boys in matching outfits from Wendy. We decided it is very very tricky to get the perfect picture of the 3 baby's when you are working with 3 different naptimes, feeding times, and range of mobility. But she for sure caught some super cute shots!

We watched the fireworks from Lori and Loyal's front yard. We only made it for about 8 minutes worth, but it was just the right amount of time for our little ones and we didn't have to deal with traffic...always a bonus!

A few hours before we left for Utah Adriana, Mateus (one of Adam's mission companions and baby Noah arrived at the Reynolds to spend the night for a futsol tournament. It was so nice to visit with them and meet little Noah. Adam and Mateus even fit in playing some pick up soccer before we hit the road.
UTAH TOUR
Lucky for us, after 2 weeks of fun, it still wasn't over! We headed to Utah for another week and a half of fun! We spent some time with Lauren watching the World Cup in Provo, visiting some old friends, a couple of nights in N. SLC with Adam's aunt Robyn and family, pictures with Mary (DMC Photography), a night in Brigham City with the Reynolds, a visit to Logan to see the Bylund's a couple of nights in Tremonton with Grandpa Lee.
Steve and Christina Bond's-- didn't snag a picture with Steve, but loved visiting and having lunch at Christina's all afternoon. She is so easy going and so fun to be with! Wished we lived closer!


Can't take a trip to Utah and not hook up with our great friends the Swenson's! It was a light night visit, but we enjoyed every bit of it. Andrew is darling and we are excited to meet their new little one the next time we are there. Maybe someday we will work out a time we can both go on a cruise together... LOVE you Rob and Kristy!!


Trevor, Blake, and LeAnne were great with Jackson and Drew! The Wilson's were wonderful hosts and we are so grateful we were able to stay with them a few nights and have a nice place to relax!
Jackson thought picking rasberries with Gma Reynolds was pretty neat stuff!!

It was such a delight to spend some quite time with Grandma and Grandpa Bylund before the reunion. It is such a blessing for me to get to watch my grandma hold my sweet boys in her arms. She is such a wonderful hero in my life. An amazing lady that is an incredible example to many!



Staying at Grandpa Lee's and Elaine's is always a true vacation! They let you sleep in, make a big breakfast every morning and have a whole slew of things to do at their house! Our favorite is the four wheeler!
We were also able to get together with all of my mom's siblings and their families. It was so fun to catch up with cousins and meet their babies we haven't met before and see how the others have grown!

BYLUND REUNION
The last 3 days of our vacation were dedicated to the BYLUNDFEST 2010! It was held at Bear Lake and there were around 95 in attendance. It was a glorious couple of days in deed. Grandma Rhea and Grandpa Bruce have an impressive line of posterity and it is so fun to be apart of it!
There were lots of fun kid activities, Bear Lake 50 bike ride, karaoke, jet skis, boats/tubing, sand castles, and lots of food! It was so fun to see cousins, meet new little ones, and spend time with aunts and uncles. It was so fun and we were sad we had to leave a bit early to return home so Adam could get to his dental externship at the prison.
