We love you Drew!

We love you Drew, oh yes we doo-oo. We love you Drew and we'll be true. When you aren't near us you're blue. Oh Drew we love you!

Months 10 and 11 of Drew's life have come and gone. He is easier now than he was when he was tiny and he was easy then! He has stayed as sweet as can be, and it is hard for him to not have a smirk on his face. He makes being a little brother look easy since he isn't demanding and just takes what he can get. Usually the only thing he is interested in and is worth crawling to is a cool car, or his mother. He is content to watch Jackson most of the time and thrilled when he can watch Jackson from my arms. There isn't a place he would rather be than in my arms or sitting in my lap. I hope he still loves as much as he does after I wean him from nursing in a few weeks!

He started crawling at 10 months, seemed late for some kids, but I was in love with the non-mobile stage from month 6 to month 10. The heavens were shining down on me. Seriously, it was fantastic. But I love that he can crawl and have some independence and start developing personality. It's fun to see him crawl around the corner and then peer around the wall and stick his head out just enough to see and play peekaboo with him. He does a belly laugh and thinks it is hilarious. So easy to please.
room after nap and find him standing up! He has finally figured out the pulling up thing. I hope we stay at this stage for a long time! Jackson will have no idea what hit him. He is an average size little guy weighting just over 18 lbs. He has had a couple of ear infections but has been a trooper and lover whenever he isn't feeling well.



When he was 10 months Adam thought his coolest trick was putting an entire ping pong ball in his mouth. Obviously a discovery that was made when I wasn't around.
The kid inhales multigrain cheerios by the handful. Loves them. He has recently reached the stage of food in which he can't eat tons of solid foods yet (especially since he barely has 2 teeth) but he wants to self feed most of the time and is becoming selective with what foods will make him happy. He can put down a whole nutrigrain bar with a problem-- except that he is a mess at the end. But for 10 minutes I'll take the mess and get the kitchen counter cleaned off!
Some the sweetest moments recently have been when I see the recognizes that he doesn't have what Jackson has. He knows now when Jackson gets of his car seat and he doesn't, or when Adam is wrestling with Jackson and he crawls over and climbs on Adam, or says "ah ah ah ah and reaches for the food Jackson has". It's so fun to see the development and growth. He definitely isn't talking or signing but I can tell his little brain is starting to process things. He says
mama mama mama, da da da da da. He talks and puts his hand or fist in his mouth to make "Indian" noises. And last week after we got home from vacation I was so excited to walk into his room after nap and seeing him standing. He has figured out the pulling up thing. So far he still isn't interested in walking!
